Organizing “Fit India Week” at Suraj School
Various activities were organized at Suraj School Mahendrgarh under “Fit India Week” organized by Ministry of Youth and Sports of Government of India. This promised students to include various physical activities such as sports, yoga, meditation etc in their routines to take care of their health. A yoga program was organized for the students of junior class in which the children were explained about various yogaasanas and their benefits. School’s yoga teacher Ujjwal Maurya conducted various yogaasan to the students and explained the method of meditation and its importance.
Popular and fun games were also organized for the students under this program in which all the students participated increasingly. Senior class students created various charts and drawings related to “Fit India Week” which demonstrated the importance of physical activity and good health. Students were awarded cards and prizes by choosing the best charts and drawing among these.
School director Sandeep Prasad said on the occasion that special attention should be paid on mental development as well as physical development in childhood and adolescence. Suraj has been committed to this since school start. There is appropriate arrangement of instructors from various sports including yoga teacher in school for physical and sports activities. Keep your body healthy with all students studies this is taken special care of. Along with students all teachers and other staff were also pledged to keep health awareness.
