AC & Non AC Transport/ Bus Service

We are providng excellent transportation services within the radius of 60km from each campus. So, Suraj School is having more than 600 buses serving in various schools and colleges of Suraj Education Group. The school has a fleet of specially designed A.C & Non-AC buses for students at NO PROFIT : NO LOSS policy.

‘Suraj School’ provides a Government approved safe, secure and child friendly transport system for students. The school has a fleet of AC and Non-AC buses catering to students upto 50-60 KM from each school area.

The transport staff including bus drivers and conductors are well trained and experienced. The school management take care of training sessions and medical check up for bus drivers and conductors with special emphasis on safety and security of children.

The various bus routes with details of stops and timings are displayed in each campus as ready- reference for parents and students. As per the directions of the Supreme Court of India for School Buses, the following provisions have been made:

• Every bus clearly entitles "School bus " on all sides.
• First-Aid-Box is provided in every bus.
• Horizontal grills are provided on every window for safety.
• Every bus has a fire extinguisher.
• The Name of school and contact details are mentioned on every bus.
• The doors of the bus have been fitted with reliable locks.
• Adequate space has been given to keep school bags safely.
• Every bus has a lady attendant from the school and a conductor.
• Every driver of the school bus has a valid licence
• In case of pre-primary students, if an authorized person recognised mutually by the school and parents, does not come to pick the child from the halting point the child is brought back to school and the parents called.
• All buses are equipped with GPS and CCTV. Parents can track the location of the bus through a mobile app.
• Text notification for change of timmings or delay in bus service will be sent to all parents.
• Arrivals and departure of buses are under supervision of transport incharge.

Terms and conditions

• Students can avail the school transport subject to availability..
• Bus service is optional and on first come first served basis Routes of the school buses are drawn up carefully after due consideration. However, the decision of the school authorities will be final of issues related to routing, pick up /drop point etc. Students are not allowed to change their buses under any circumstances.
• As per the state motor vehicle Act 1 ½  Seating capacity is allowed in the school buses (It means if there is a 40 seater bus, Maximum 60 students can be 2 accommodated in the bus.
• In case of a change of residential address/Bus stop/change in route; kindly intimate the School in writing. Please note that changes to this effect will be carried out subject to availability of seats and also if the address change falls within the pre-existing routes.
• Parents are requested to carry the authorization I-Card issued by the school everyday, while picking up their ward/s from school. In case the student is availing the school transport facility, then for security reasons, authorization card is to be produced by whosoever is present at the Drop Point for the child’s pick up.
• Bus charges are payable as per the distance.
• Adequate space has been given to keep school bags safely.
• Cost of any damage to cushions, covers, curtains or any other fittings, fixtures, etc. in the bus shall be recovered from the parents of the student(s) concerned.
• Indiscipline of the students of any kind and littering will not be tolerated and shall result in termination of the bus service immediately
• School can withdraw transport under any circumstances .
• It is expected that children arrive at the stop at least 10 minutes before scheduled time to avoid delays. Under no circumstances, the bus will wait for a late child.
• Due to traffic congestions, machinery trouble etc, it is expected that on such occasions the bus may arrive late at a scheduled stop.
• It is expected and accepted that due to maintenance routines and weather, air conditioning of the bus may suffer on certain days.
• Students living off a main route are expected to get or be brought, to a convenient pickup point on the main route.
• As a rule, the routes will be planned in order to provide maximum convenience, however, routes cannot be always customized as per requirement
• Transport fee depends on the distance and fee slabs have been accordingly worked out.
• Transport fee will be charged on a quarterly basis and the first quarter begins with effect from April.
• Transport fee is subject to an annual hike of about 10 % every year in order to meet the expenses on account of fuel price hike, increased costs of contract, maintenance, and market trends, staff salary, etc.
• Withdrawal of transport does not guarantee automatic resumption after a break as the name is pushed down to the bottom of the waiting list.
• In case of withdrawal from transport, the school office should be notified in writing, one month in advance before the beginning of a new quarter and prior to the discontinuation of bus service, failing which transport charges of that month will be billed and the amount will be payable by the parent/ deducted from the security deposit.
