One of our student Shilpi Shikha Barooah, a 2ndyear student of our Institution is basically hailed from Assam, a state from far North East. Growing up she was introduced to art and culture at a very young age by their parents and family, which means she belongs to a family of artistic pursuits and culture. And thus before getting admission into Academic school, she got admission into Music school at the age of five. And with academics, she completed her Visharada(B.Mus) in Indian Classical Music before her boards’ exam and after boards she got admission in Luckhnow Bhatkhande University to pursue her Master’s Degree in Indian Classical Music and simultaneously she got selected as an All India Artist from Luckhnow. And so far in her musical career and journey, she has performed many ghazals, thumri, and semi-classical songs on Vividh Bharati along with three songs on Youtube, which is these days a great bridge builder in one’s career. Well, she do not have much big dreams but just to prove the actual meaning of her name Shilpi- the art .
